If you hate CXOXO then you're jealous of people who dont know what is going on in their life. The album you lean towards coresponds with your identity, but it is neither good nor bad to like one album over the other.
The whole album feels very Floridian and tropical to me. It feels familiar and light. The issues and topics of the album are told sweetly and innocently, it feels like seeing the stoplight turn yellow from a long distance, and slowly coming to a stop once you approach. it feels like leaving the beach and driving to Flanagans with all your friends, but everyone was turnt up all day so now everyone is worn out from the beach and the sun is beginning to set and everyone just wants to get to the restaurant and eat the food. The issues and thoughts Camila sings about in the album dont have any weight under the beauty of the life ahead of and around her. atmospheric production, El Guincho + Jasper Harris. There is something really calming about some of the songs, lots of piano on the album. the turnt songs are fun, but theyre tame, as if youre dancing but not thinking about it, or dancing at a wedding or dancing with respectable friends from high school. I think of all the beautiful and amazing women that I had the pleasure of knowing and befriending when I lived in Florida, and how i would talk with them about art, about boys, fashion, life stuff and how i was so inspired by knowing them, and how much they have shaped me with their positive influence. the fun times i had with them remind me of how this album feels... simple and sweet and natural. I enjoy that the album is real and feminine and flirtatious, and theres no real graphic sexual imagery in the writing. i feel like her next album will top this one
